安装VA磁盘阵列时,必须首先format磁盘阵列,具体步骤如下:
VA7100/VA7110
1.通过串口执行vfpfmt
2.执行dsp –s 查看VA信息
3.如果VA是与switch相连,要执行mgr –t 2 –c 1/2 将private修改为public
4.执行mgr –S 2 –c 1/2,将速率修改为2GB
5.初始化完成后注意通过更改磁盘阵列的RAID级别(armmgr –C)
6.如果用光纤switch,要在前改变VA7100的loop topology to fabric
7.划分LUN时,先建一个20MLUN0,保持这个LUN不要使用。
8.划分LUN后进行一次重起测试
9.在创建VG前,要查明哪条路径是主路径(在机器背面看,VA7100左边的控制器c1是主控制器)
10.创建VG时要保证主路径的盘在前面
a.Using
a terminal connected directly to VA, issue the command vfpmgr –ds
{on|off}. Then an “ioscan” will display the LUN which are still visible
when the secondary controller is disabled
b.Using the “SDM” v1.05, the command “armmgr –S {on|off} will also do the same function.
VA7400/VA7410
1.首先给主盘箱加电(断开主盘箱与子盘箱连接光纤)
2.通过串口执行vfpfmt
3.初始化完成后关闭主盘箱
4.连接主盘箱与子盘箱之间的光纤
5.分别给子盘箱加电
6.全部硬盘加电完成后给主盘箱加电
7.VA7400会自动将其余子盘箱的硬盘格式化为520byte/sector
8.在子盘箱硬盘格式化完成之前不要继续其他操作(约需30-60分钟)
9.如果用光纤switch,要在前改变VA7100的loop topology to fabric
10.初始化完成后注意通过更改磁盘阵列的RAID级别(armmgr –C)
11.划分LUN时,先建一个20MLUN0, 保持这个LUN不要使用(第一次做的时候就忘记了)
12.帮助客户划分LUN,保证VA7400的两个group的负载均衡(和客户商量, 按VA7400的Service Manual操作)
13.划分LUN后注意进行一次重起测试
14.在创建VG前,要查明哪条路径是主路径(VA7400左边的控制器c1是groupA的主控制器,VA7400右边的控制器c2是groupB的主控制器)

二、操作
16.关机时最好先执行armmgr –s shut 或vfpmgr –s shut,然后再关闭电源开关
17.Service之前请先备份armdsp –a信息
18.更换硬盘之前先执行armdsp –a观察磁盘阵列状态,是否有其它报错存在
19.若发现异常报错,不要急于重起,与响应中心联系
