VS1053目前算是VLSI公司音频解码解决方案中的旗舰产品。　支持大多数主流的音频格式的解码，　甚至允许用户动态加载实时代码，　扩展芯片功能（VS1053的核心是一枚DSP)。　此外VS1053还支持三种格式的编码录音。 片内也搭载有一些音效处理。
